I am an investigative reporter and writer from London. I have reported from more than three dozen countries for outlets that include The New York Times, The Economist, The Financial Times, and many others.

I have worked on investigations into leaks from inside the most secretive parts of the Russian intelligence establishment, alleged Chinese cyberattacks in the Pacific, and the leaking of millions of sensitive U.S. military emails.

I am currently the West and Central Africa correspondent for the Financial Times, based in Nigeria. I have previously reported on the war in Ukraine, Islamist insurgencies in Africa, and from across the Arctic.

I was granted the Reporting Award by the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University in 2024. I was a finalist at the British Journalism Awards in 2024 and the Fetisov Journalism Awards in 2025. I won the American Jewish Press Association Rockower Award for Excellent in Reporting on the War in Ukraine in 2023.
